The Right Step Adult Chemical Dependency Program is an intensive outpatient program with the mission of providing quality treatment for adults with a primary substance dependance diagnosis. Individuals served by our program are male or female adults over the age of 18, as well as their significant others. The Right step is liceensed by The Texas Department of State Health Services and accredited by the Joint Commission.

We hire only Master’s degree level counselors that are trained in mental health issues as well as substance/alcohol use disorders and treatment. This is highly relevant as the vast majority of those seeking help also need their mental health issues addressed in their treatment planning. These need addressing to reduce relapse rates.

We have been addressing addiction treatment in the greater Dallas area beginning in 1999. We are one of the longest tenured outpatient program providers that other organizations, therapists, employee assistant programs, and many residential programs in Texas and other states have trusted for outpatient care for 18 years.
We have been addressing addiction treatment in the greater Dallas area beginning in 1999. We are one of the longest tenured outpatient program providers that other organizations, therapists, employee assistant programs, and many residential programs in Texas and other states have trusted for outpatient care for 18 years.
We practice a Continuum of Care Model of treatment. That means whether stepping down from residential care, detox, or for those directly admitted into our treatment programs we target 2 months of intensive outpatient care followed by a year of free weekly aftercare meetings. All aftercare meetings are counselor led, most by the counselor that treated you in outpatient. Follow up rates 3 months and less do not produce reliable results. Treatment reviews have found a program follow-up of one year exhibiting recovery rates above 65% and as high as 90%. We do treatment based on a model of care in 2018 not 1980.

Intensive outpatient treatment gives clients the opportunity to participate in treatment for alcohol and other drug addictions while still going to work and taking care of day to day today responsibilities. Your recovery program will include 10 hours each week in the program with a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. The intensive outpatient program uses 12-Step and proven clinical treatment methods to help you make positive changes in your life. You will participate in the following activities:

Family group
Individaul counseling and treatment planning
Spirituality awareness
Relapse prevention training
12-Step meetings (off-site)
Educational classes
Our aftercare program offers free long-term support for those who successfully complete the program.
